The Space
This is a large bright modern villa, the ground floor has air-conditioning and is totally open plan, lounge, diner, kitchen with dining table which comfortably seats 8. The kitchen offers everything you will need for a self-catering holiday it has an integrated electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dish washer, electric hob, kettle and toaster. There is a large wall mounted smart TV and fibre optic Wi-Fi. There are four sets of patio doors leading out to the large covered terrace (20m2) and the private swimming pool with Roman steps, the pool is larger than average for this size villa (4m x 9m). There is a dining table for 8 and a small sofa seating area on the shaded terrace. Also on the ground floor is a wc and utility room with washing machine and basin.
All four of the bedrooms are on the second floor all have air-conditioning and fitted wardrobes. There are two doubles with king size beds and two twin bedrooms, there are two bathrooms on this floor one with full bath and the other with walk-in shower. All of the bedrooms have patio doors leading on to a large sun drenched balcony.
The villas gardens all have well established planting and surround the whole villa. If you are lucky you maybe able to pick your own lemons to use for a refreshing local drink of Xoriguer gin and fanta lemon called Pomada.
Location
Addaya is a sheltered fishing and sailing port on the North-East of the island. The large natural harbour inlet is surrounded by rugged farmland whilst the old tower of Torre d’Addaya dominates the entrance to the beautiful estuary where you can dive and fish. The whole area is renowned for its beauty, beaches, scuba diving and bird watching with many country walks and cycling trails clearly signposted. Over the last few years Addaya has become an attractive area of quality residential properties built around a smart marina, home to private yachts and boats. One of the best sailing schools in the Mediterranean is in Fornells, just 15 minutes from Addaya. A scenic coastal footpath wends its way around Addaya with spectacular views out to sea and over to nearby Macaret.
Addaya has a well stocked supermarket supplying daily fresh produce and a locally owned souvenir shop with daily newspapers. There are four restaurants in total all of a different genera. The Castillo, British owned with a wide selection of European dishes. The Don Carlos, Italian restaurant. The Corner Bar, Spanish owned with a good variety of traditional and modern tapas. La Cantina, right on the harbour side Spanish owned serving traditional Paellas and much more. A hire car is not completely necessary but there are so many things to discover in Menorca it is recommended, even in the height of summer the roads are never overly busy and there are no motorways to contend with. There is a summer bus service which will take you to the capital Mahon (15km) or to the nearest beach at Arenal d'en Castel (3km). The island has one very beautiful 18 hole golf course which is only a 15 minute drive away (10km) and another larger harbour village called Fornells (14km) which has fantastic watersports and scuba schools plus a long waterfront full of shops and restaurants famed for fresh fish and lobster.

As from 1st July 2016 the Balearic Government imposed a Tourism Eco Tax of 2.20€ (VAT included) for the first 8 nights stay per person per night. From the ninth night of the stay onwards, the amount is reduced to 1.10€ (VAT included) per person per night. The tax applies to all guests over the age of 16 and is payable on arrival at the property managers check-in reception in office.
