The Space

The main entrance of Villa Ancla opens into a small hallway, and immediately in front is the large living/dining room.  This light and airy room is furnished with two sofas, hide-leather lounging chair, large sideboard with games and books, and a dining table and chairs, that can comfortably seat 8. There is a DVD player and a Bose Sound Dock, wifi internet access and IPTV channels.  Large double patio doors open from the lounge on to the huge covered outside terrace which has roll-up/down windy/wet weather transparent screens – ideal for still sitting outside when the weather is inclement.  To the right of the entrance hall area is a twin- bedroom furnished with double fitted wardrobes. Off this bedroom is a fully tiled ensuite with a small bath with integral seat plus wall-mounted shower attachment and sliding glass shower doors.  Straight ahead to the right of the entrance hall is a corridor leading to two more bedrooms: a master bedroom with double bed and Tempur memory mattress, fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps. A good sized fully tiled ensuite is off the bedroom, comprising bath with sliding shower doors, shower attachment, toilet, bidet and wash basin set in a vanity unit.  At the end of this corridor is a further twin bedroom with fitted wardrobes. Also off this corridor is a fully tiled family bathroom with WC, bath with sliding shower doors and shower attachment, wash basin in a vanity unit, mirror and bidet. To the immediate left of the entrance is the well equipped kitchen with a range of fitted pine kitchen units, electric oven and ceramic hob, Bosch fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, coffee-maker and so on.  Beyond the kitchen is a large utility room with a range of storage cupboards, and also the Miele washing machine and tumble dryer. The cupboards are well stocked with a good range of crockery and serving bowls, jugs and glasses.  Also from this end of the kitchen is access, via a short passageway, to the fourth bedroom, furnished with a double bed, large fitted wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps, and off this is an ensuite with half-bath, sliding shower doors, shower attachment, WC, wash basin in vanity, and bidet. The exterior of this traditional Menorquin villa is exceptional. There is an 80sq m covered terrace with a large dining table and chairs, a large gas BBQ and fridge for drinks.  Spectacular panoramic views to the rugged coastline of Cala Torret and Binibeca can be enjoyed from here. Several steps from the raised terrace lead down to the beautiful landscaped lawned gardens. Surrounding the pool is a terrace constructed with attractive and natural mares tiles. It has ample room for the sunbeds, parasols and drinks tables.The terrace surrounds the 12x6m swimming pool with roman step access. Traditional Menorcan rustic olive fencing surrounds two sides of the pool for safety.  The shallow end of the pool is 1.4m (with a shallow ‘shelf’ where kids can sit and play), gradually deepening to 2.1m.  This villa is a great location for a wonderfully relaxed family holiday.  Please note that the bathrooms are a little old fashioned though perfectly functional.

Location

Binibeca Vell is well known for it's charming and pinturesque Fishermen Village. Located next to the sea, west area of the resort. Although the "Vell" name refers to old in menorquin, the truth is this is the modern area of Binibeca. Located only 300 meters away from the beach, it also has 2 little supermarkets in the area and a few restaurants. You will also find hidden bathing areas around the rocky cliffs of the resort.

As from 1st July 2016 the Balearic Government imposed a Tourism Eco Tax of 2.20€ (VAT included) for the first 8 nights stay per person per night. From the ninth night of the stay onwards, the amount is reduced to 1.10€ (VAT included) per person per night.  The tax applies to all guests over the age of 16 and is payable on arrival at the property managers check-in reception in office.
